In order to make our knowledge on World Class Management, Lean Management, Total Productive Maintenance and Statistical Engineering available to everyone, TPF Europe B.V. organizes several courses. Experienced trainers create direct links between theory and practice, making it possible to implement the learned matter directly into practice.

The course mentioned below are compiled on the basis of open subscription and particularly suitable for CEOs and operations, logistic maintenance and quality managers, team leaders and internal change agents. 5S work environment organization and standardization

The 5S Method is a structured program to organize and standardize the work environment. The 5S program is a series of general principles and offers practical tools that support excellent results. A clean, well organized and logically structured working environment works motivating, for the people on the work floor as well as for the managing staff. The 5S program stimulates team work, (self)discipline, security, an orderly way of working and ensures an increase in product quality and productivity. The 5S program offers practical information about key elements and how to improve these.

5S was developed in Japan in the fifties. 5S stands for the 5 steps that must be taken: Seiri (Sorting), Seiton (Setting in Order), Seiso (Shining), Seiketsu (Standardizing) and Shitsuke (Stimulating and sustaining).

Afterwards, you are able to:
* discuss the key elements of the approach and what the benefits are for your organization
* assess how 5S can help you to better organize the work
* set up a step-by-step plan to implement 5S

The costs per participant are € 495,- (exclusive VAT).

TPM introduction

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is an innovative approach that optimises the effectiveness of production assets, reduces delays in production and increases the involvement of the operators. TPM combines the American practice of preventive maintenance with the Japanese concept of total quality control and total employee involvement. This approach is exceptionally suited as a carrier for improvement projects in the production. The manifestation of the loss-creating factors by means of the structured collection and processing of production-related data, together with the stimulation of team work and ownership lead towards a motivated, strong and transparent organization with an increased productivity.

Afterwards you are able to:

  • discuss the essence of the approach
  • assess how TPM can help you
  • test action plans for their effectiveness to the production on the basis of gained insights
  • chart the production losses in your own production process according to the TPM methodology and define the possibilities for improvement.

The costs per participant are € 495,- (exclusive VAT).

Reduction in exchange time for dies by SMED

Losses resulting from the exchange of dies constitute one of the six big losses from the TPM method. Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) is an approach that helps reduce the output and quality losses that result from the exchange of dies. The method was developed in Japan by Shigeo Shingo and has helped many companies to reduce the loss in time by a factor 10 or more. The analysis of the exchange process, together with the stimulation of team work and ownership lead towards a bigger reduction of loss as a result from exchange times and it is fun to do, as well!
Afterwards you are able to:

  • discuss the essence of the approach
  • assess where SMED can help you
  • test action plans for their effectiveness to the production on the basis of gained insights
  • chart the losses resulting from the exchange times in your own production process according to the SMED methodology and define the possibilities for improvement.

The costs per participant are € 495,- (exclusive VAT).

In-house training

The description above also pertains to the open subscription courses. However, these courses can also be given in-house at a company facility. In that case, the content is even better tailored to your specific situation.
